President

Sohail Qureshi

Elected as MSYSA’s President in 2008, Sohail Qureshi has more than 20 years of experience at all levels of soccer in Michigan and has held various positions on local leagues. Sohail has been in many other roles such as a player, coach and a referee.

Sohail has continued his mission in converting MSYSA to an agile, service based, configurable organization that is second to none by continually challenging old and archaic rules and regulations and introducing change at an acceptable pace.

Mr. Qureshi currently works at Dematic Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer; having graduated from Wayne State University with a Master of Science in Computer Science, a Mechanical Engineering degree from Lawrence Tech University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from University of Karachi.

A native of Karachi, Pakistan, Sohail has previously held a position on the MSYSA Board of Directors as the District Commissioner for the Metro Southwest District. Sohail currently resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan and has a son and daughter, Zain and Nida.
