The MSYSA Board of Directors have signed on with Gotsoccer, a new innovative software provider that will help streamline the various administrative tasks of the State Office, especially League Registration. At the 2010 AGM, it was officially announced that by Fall 2010 all MSYSA leagues will need to adopt Gotsoccer as the primary method to supply registration data to MSYSA. For Spring 2010, all MSYSA leagues have the ability to use Gotsoccer and start getting used to its functionality. To get started, you will need the login information to access your league account. Email akeller@michiganyouthsoccer.orgfor your login information (only League Presidents will be given this info).
What Will Change:
MSYSA currently uses the E-Registration system. The company that developed this program is no longer going to offer this product or keep it running with updates and software changes. As a result, Gotsoccer was chosen to house all of the MSYSA registration data supplied by our leagues. By Fall 2010, E-Reg will no longer be used and Gotsoccer will be the new registration system.
What Does This Change Mean?
Registration data entered/uploaded into Gotsoccer.
All passcards and rosters to be printed using Gotsoccer.
All Releases, Dual Registrations, and Transfer forms will need to submitted through Gotsoccer.
Risk Management approvals and applications submitted through Gotsoccer
Q: Will the league incur any cost to use Gotsoccer? A: NO, the league will not be responsible for any fees to use Gotsoccer for the basic registration requirements (see bullet points above).
Q: Can Gotsoccer do online registration? A: YES, Gotsoccer can handle true online registration (per player fee applies). Players and/or parents can set up a Gotsoccer account and register with a club or league. This will place the burden of information at the lowest level, easing the registraiton process for the Leagues and MSYSA.
Q: Can Gotsoccer do scheduling? A: YES, the Gotsoccer scheduling module has been included in the services offered if you utilize the Gotsoccer registration program.
Q: What if we have our own registration/scheduling software? A: You can still use any program you want for your league. However, data will need to be placed into Gotsoccer even if you have another registration program. Rosters and passcards not printed from Gotsoccer will not be valid or recognized as official once Fall 2010 begins.
Q: Will it be mandatory to use Gotsoccer in Fall 2010? A: Yes, it will be mandatory for MSYSA Leagues to use Gotsoccer to supply registration data to MSYSA, as well as print passcards and rosters.
