MSYSA Soccer Spotlight: U12 Fraser Flames
Congratulations to the U12 Fraser Flames for becoming the latest MSYSA Soccer Spotlight team! One year ago, this team had 11 girls who had never played soccer before and only two weeks to train before their first tournament. They struggled in the tournament, but under the guidance of head coach Al Velasco, they showed incredible determination and willingness to learn that ultimately led to 1st place league finish in MYSL, semi-final appearance at the Kentucky Bluegrass Tournament, semi-final appearance at the 2005 MSYSA Ford Cup, and their first tournament championship at the Romeo Peachfest soccer tournament. Congratulations ladies and keep the good work!
