MSYSA Soccer Spotlight: U17 Waterford Lady Warriors

The Waterford Lady Warriors are a community based team whose on-field success is built not only upon talent, skill, and soccer savvy, but also on team spirit and a true love for the game. The core players have been together for seven years, while the majority of players of the players have been on the team for four or more years. Their list of achievements does not include national championships or a roster full of ODP players, but it does include a noteworthy number of achievements for a small club team whose players strive to make themselves and their teammates better on a daily basis. Most recently, the team became champions at the St. Clair Shores Waterfront Invitational and the Midland Fusion Invitational.

This team embodies the spirit of what amateur youth soccer is all about – having fun, working together as a team, and learning new skills. Great job ladies, and keep up the good work!
