MSYSA Soccer Spotlight: DeWitt Blue Angels
The DeWitt Blue Angels just finished their second fall season playing together in the Capital Area Soccer League. Additionally, they attended two MSYSA sanctioned tournaments – the Petoskey Autumn Blast and the Capital Area Classic. This team displays incredible initiative, teamwork, determination, and a love for the game. Through soccer, they have learned the core values of setting personal and team goals, commitment, and teamwork. They work hard for each other and are unselfish in their play. Recently, they also demonstrated an act of selflessness when they collected and then donated several large containers of food, clothing, and supplies to an opponent whose community had been devastated by a large storm. For their actions both on and off the field, MSYSA is proud to award this team with Soccer Spotlight Team of the Month Honors for December 2007. Keep up the great job, ladies!
