Congratulations to the U14 Midland Fusion team for earning MSYSA Soccer Spotlight Team of the Month honors for May 2009! The team is in its second year of playing together. In addition to being excellent academic students (hailing from nine different schools), the team also has many top-notch musicians! On the soccer field, they struggled together in their first year. But, they work hard at practice and games, and have recently begun finding success. They are a "team" in every sense of the word - during the downtime at tournaments, the boys enjoy spending time together eating, playing paint ball, racing grand prix cars, and attending haunted houses. When asked to describe themselves, the players answer "We are brothers". It should come as no suprise that the players live by their team motto - “Play as a team, lose as a team, win as a team.”
