** Players should attend ALL assigned session times for their gender/age group.
*** If your player is unable to attend ANY of their assigned times, please email: stateoffice@michiganyouthsoccer.org and ask about the alternate tryout. The alternate tryout is capped at 10 players per age/gender on a “first come/first served basis”. Players must be pre-registered for the alternate tryout. The alternate tryout is a one off, 2-hour tryout.

DISCLAIMER: MSYSA has received emails asking if players can compete in both MLS and ODP. The answer is YES, you can. Both programs are US Soccer affiliated programs. US Soccer, MSYSA’s national governing body, encourages interplay between its organizations, pursuant to Bylaw 603. In short, coaches/clubs should not be restricting a player’s right to participate with other organizational members of US Soccer, if they so choose. Additionally, Policy 212-1, indicates that players may be registered/participate with other organizational members of US Soccer.

DCFC X ODP YOUTH NIGHT

We have some exciting news that will involve players from past seasons, and it is an exciting opportunity to get showcased at halftime and get to watch an amazing game of soccer! On July 12, 2025, we have the opportunity to showcase all of our amazing ODP players no matter the age! DCFC will be playing Hartford Athletic and we can use this game as a fundraiser for the ODP program! All you have to do is click on this link: TICKETS and send it to your friends and family so they can come out to the game as well. Forty percent of our makings will be used for future events in ODP.

GLEANERS FOOD DRIVE

At our ODP 2025/26 tryouts, we are partnering with Gleaners to host a food drive! Any donated items are going to be donated to families that are in need. When arriving for tryouts, be sure to bring any non-perishable canned food items to donate! Gleaners exist to provide households with access to sufficient, nutritious food and related sources.

About Gleaners

Gleaners is headquartered in Detroit and serves five counties in southeastern Michigan: Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston, and Monroe. They provide nearly 350 pantry partners, including soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, schools, and other agencies across the region, and supplement the efforts of those partners by offering direct service drive-up grocery distributions. Gleaners further empowers households with food programs and education to help overcome food insecurity. Every dollar donated provides three meals, and 93% of our expenses directly support our neighbors facing hunger.

KONA ICE

We have brought it back for another year…… Kona Ice will be at all three days of ODP tryouts this July!! Some of the proceeds that are made will go to the ODP program, so make sure you save up for a sweet treat! Especially if it is a hot weekend, there is nothing better than cooling off with some Kona Ice!!

PRYDE ATHLETICS

This year, we are grateful to be partnering with Pryde Athletics for ODP tryouts this July!! They will be set up next to the registration tent with their “recovery zone”! Recover like the pros with Pryde Athletics & Physical Therapy, expert coaches, and elite recovery tools brought straight to you! You can book a session AFTER your scheduled tryout sessions that will include 15 minutes of assisted stretching and 15 minutes of compression boots, all for just $15 per session!! You can also choose to get a weekend recovery pass, which gives you unlimited recovery zone access, and it’s only $40 for the entire 3 days of tryouts!! Recover the Pryde way this year at tryouts to be at your best!
