About the MSYSA Adalin Farnum ODP Scholarship
Adalin Farnum had a zest and curiosity for life the moment she opened her beautiful blue eyes. She was a huge fan. Mostly in part due to her mother, Tammy Farnum who has dedicated countless hours to the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association Olympic Development Program over the years. Adalin had an amazing sense of fashion, humor and ability to bring out the best in people. Her battle with cancer began at the age of five and a half. It was very clear her faith, strong spirit and spunky attitude would be with her every step of the way. Though her life’s journey has been short it has always been filled with love. Adalin passed away peacefully on Friday, October 14, 2011 at age 9. In honor of Adalin, she asked that we carry out her memory of performing random acts of kindness.
