MFA GR 11G ELITE VS MICHIGAN BURN G11
In the U15 Girls Elite Final of the MSYSA Fall State Cup, Michigan Burn G11 earned a gritty 1-0 victory over MFA GR 11G Elite in a tightly contested matchup. From the opening whistle, both sides demonstrated exceptional pace and composure, trading possession and testing each other’s defenses. The game’s tempo and physicality reflected the stakes – a spot at the US Youth Soccer National Championships on the line.
The decisive moment came in the 17th minute after an MFA throw-in deep near the corner left them exposed defensively. Michigan Burn quickly intercepted and launched a long ball into the box, where a Burn forward executed a perfect first touch, weaved past two defenders, and fired a stunning shot into the upper corner of the net. The goal electrified the sidelines and ultimately proved to be the difference in the match.
The remainder of the game saw opportunities for both teams, with MFA GR pushing hard for an equalizer and Burn standing strong behind organized defending and clutch saves. When the final whistle blew, Michigan Burn G11 had secured the 1-0 win and the U15 Girls Elite State Cup title. Congratulations to Michigan Burn on their remarkable performance – and best of luck as they represent Michigan at the 2026 US Youth Soccer National Championships in Tennessee next July!
