USYS Midwest Regionals Recap

PLYMOUTH REIGN 08 NLC

Plymouth Reign 08 NLC had a remarkable run at the 2025 USYS Midwest Regionals in Overland Park, Kansas, competing in the U17 Girls Division. The team earned its place by winning the Michigan Fall State Cup and carried that momentum into an unforgettable regional tournament.

In group play, Reign dominated, finishing with a perfect 3-0-0 record. They scored 10 goals while not conceding a single one, showcasing both attacking firepower and defensive discipline. Their impressive group stage performance sent them confidently into the knockout rounds.

In the semifinals, Plymouth faced a familiar rival in Michigan Tigers FC Elite 08G – the same opponent they had defeated in the Fall State Cup final. In another hard-fought battle, Plymouth came out on top once again, earning a 2-1 victory to secure their place in the championship match.

The final against Chicago FC was a tight contest, but Plymouth’s determination and resilience shone through as they claimed a 1-0 victory, becoming Midwest Regional Champions. With the win, Plymouth Reign 08 NLC punched their ticket to the 2025 USYS National Championships in Orlando, Florida, this July.

Their outstanding achievement highlights the team’s talent, hard work, and perseverance. Congratulations to Plymouth Reign 08 NLC on an incredible accomplishment, and best of luck as they represent Michigan on the national stage!
