In a commanding performance at the 2025 USYS National Championships, Michigan Tigers FC Elite 64 08G defeated Ambassadors FC 2008G by a score of 3-0 to secure the U17 Girls national title. Their journey was defined by resilience, unity, and redemption – culminating in a title that echoes the strength of Michigan youth soccer.

JOURNEY TO THE FINAL

The Tigers earned their berth through dominance in the National League, claiming the champions pool at the NL Semifinals and entering the Nationals with strong momentum. In Orlando, they delivered a perfect 3-0-0 group record, scoring 10 goals and conceding none – a clear statement of their offensive and defensive prowess. In a highly anticipated rematch, the Tigers overturned previous season defeats by defeating Plymouth Reign 08 NLC 2-1, showing mental strength and tactical evolution when it mattered most.

CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

The Tigers drew first blood when Maya Bjedov struck early, altering the rhythm of the game and giving her team a crucial lead. In the second half, River Pham doubled the lead with a composed finish at the top of the box, slotting the ball inside the right post. Tatum Borton put the match out of reach shortly after coming off the restart, unleashing a long-range rocket to complete the 3-0 shutout and deliver the National Championship to Michigan.
