DCFC Downriver 07/08 Elite delivered a dominant performance at the 2026 US Youth Soccer Great Lakes Presidents Cup in Westfield, Indiana, capturing the U18/19 Boys Regional Championship and earning a berth to the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup National Championships in Wichita, Kansas.
Representing Michigan on the regional stage, DCFC put together a perfect group stage campaign. The team opened the tournament with an impressive 6-1 victory before following it up with a 4-2 win in its second match. DCFC completed group play with a commanding 4-0 shutout victory, finishing with a flawless 3-0-0 record.
Throughout group play, DCFC Downriver showcased one of the most potent offenses in the tournament, scoring 14 goals while conceding just three. Their ability to consistently create scoring opportunities, combined with strong defensive performances, allowed them to finish atop their bracket and advance to the championship match.
The final provided one last challenge, but DCFC continued its impressive run. The Michigan representative delivered another complete performance, earning a 3-1 victory to secure the regional title and cap off an outstanding weekend in Indiana.
By the end of the tournament, DCFC had compiled a perfect 4-0-0 record, scoring 17 goals and conceding just four across four matches. The championship run highlighted the team’s attacking quality, resilience, and consistency against some of the top competition in the Great Lakes region.
With the victory, DCFC Downriver 07/08 Elite was crowned the 2026 US Youth Soccer Great Lakes Presidents Cup U18/19 Boys Champion. The regional title earns the team a place at the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup National Championships in Wichita, Kansas, where they will represent Michigan and the Great Lakes Region while pursuing another piece of hardware on the national stage.
