MSYSA is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for the inaugural season of the National 1 League, a new competitive platform designed to provide elite-level competition for top clubs and teams throughout the Midwest.

All interested teams must submit their application by June 29, 2026, at 12:00 PM (noon). League scheduling will begin immediately following the application deadline, making it important for teams to complete the application process on time. High schooled-aged (U15+) spring-only teams are also encouraged to apply and will be considered alongside full-season applicants.

The National 1 League is expected to attract many of the region’s top teams, including those currently competing in the National League, NPL, GLPL, ECNL-RL, NAL, GA, and other highly competitive platforms. The league’s goal is to create a meaningful and challenging competition environment that supports player development while providing clubs with a high-level regional pathway.

Midwest District 5 anticipates offering one or two tiers of competition, with teams competing in approximately 8-10 matches per season against quality opponents from across the region. The structure is designed to maximize competitive opportunities while maintaining a manageable schedule for participating clubs and players.

League fees include participation in State Cup competition. U13-U14 teams will pay $1,200 for a single season or $1,600 for a two-season commitment, while U15-U19 teams will pay $1,200 per team.

The N1L season will culminate in summer 2027, providing participating teams with qualification opportunities to the ECNL Conference League Playoffs and Finals. These advancement opportunities create an exciting pathway for teams looking to compete against some of the top clubs in the country.

As preparations continue for the league’s first season, MSYSA looks forward to welcoming ambitious clubs and teams seeking a competitive environment focused on development, exposure, and meaningful competition.
