PORTAGE SC 2012G GREEN
Portage SC 2012G Green’s remarkable run at the 2026 USYS National Championships came to a close in the national semifinals after an unforgettable tournament that showcased the team’s resilience and determination.
After earning a 2-0 victory over the Ohio representative in the quarterfinals to secure a place among the nation’s final four, Portage SC faced the Indiana representative in a hard-fought semifinal matchup. The teams battled to a 1-1 draw through regulation, with neither side able to find a game-winning goal.
The match was ultimately decided by penalty kicks, where Indiana prevailed 4-2 to advance to the national championship match. While the result ended Portage SC’s championship pursuit, the team’s performance throughout the tournament was nothing short of exceptional.
Reaching the semifinals of the USYS National Championships is an incredible accomplishment and reflects the talent, dedication, and perseverance of the players, coaches, and supporters throughout the season. After earning their place at Nationals by winning the Fall 2025 Michigan State Cup, Portage SC 2012G Green proudly represented Michigan on the national stage.
