The MSYSA Junior State Cup is an open tournament designed to provide the highest quality competition for Michigan teams in the U10 – U12 age groups. The Junior State Cup gives young players and teams an opportunity to challenge themselves against top competition from across the state while gaining valuable tournament experience.
The Junior State Cup serves as an important precursor to the MSYSA State Cup, Michigan State Premier Soccer Program (MSPSP), National 1 League, and other advanced levels of competition.
All Directors Academy teams are required to participate in the Junior State Cup, with U12 teams having the opportunity to earn National 1 League endorsement through their performance in the tournament. The MSYSA Junior State Cup is an opportunity for teams to compete, develop, and see how they measure up against some of the best young teams in Michigan.

22 player event roster and game day roster
Unlimited substitution for all groups & divisions
Quarterfinal, Semifinal, and Final games will proceed directly to Penalty Kicks if tied (no overtime period)
New tiebreaker & wildcard criteria is “Fair Play” (fewest total player/coach dismissals)

Sportsmanship
The MSYSA Junior State Cup is extremely competitive. Please keep in mind that the aspect of sportsmanship is very important during the Junior State Cup competition. Any inappropriate conduct by players, coaches, team officials, and/or parents will not be tolerated. Coaches, parents, and players should not approach referees after a game with questions or concerns. Please address any questions or concerns with MSYSA directly.
