GAME FORMAT
- FIFA Laws of the Game will govern all games unless modified by the USSF, US Youth Soccer, MSYSA, MSYSA JR State Cup Chair, JR State Cup Chair Designee, or JR State Cup Committee.
- Modification(s) may be made with or without notice.

- Overtime periods shall only be used in Round of 16, Quarterfinal, Semifinal, and Final games.
- In the event of a tie game during a round of 16, quarterfinal, semifinal, or final games, there will be two overtime periods.
- If after two (2) full overtime periods the game is still tied, “Kicks from the Mark” will be conducted and Laws of the Game will apply.
- The MSYSA JR State Cup Chair or JR State Cup Chair Designee may determine that a game is complete at any time after the commencement of the second half provided no team is at fault for the stoppage.
- For all divisions, if teams from the same league are scheduled to play against each other in the MSYSA JR State Cup, the league game between the two teams may NOT count as an official MSYSA JR State Cup game, and results from that league game may not be applied to the MSYSA JR State Cup tournament. However, at the league’s discretion, leagues may choose to allow MSYSA JR State Cup results to count towards league results and standings. Contact your league for more information.
