What is the MSYSA Junior State Cup?
This tournament is designed to provide the highest quality of competition for Michigan teams in the U10 – U12 age groups. It a great precursor to playing in the State Cup, Michigan State Premier Soccer Program, USYS National League, and others. Come challenge your team and see what they can do!
There are two divisions within each age group:
– At U10, there is a 7v7 division and 9v9 division.
– At U11 and U12, there is a First Division and a Second Division. The U11 and U12 First Divisions are primarily composed of Director’s Academy teams, while the Second Divisions are a mix of teams from all MSYSA-affiliated leagues, including the Director’s Academy.
Results from the U12 Junior State Cup will be a factor in determining which teams are endorsed to play in the USYS National League the following yea at U13.

When: March 7 – May 3, 2026 (Preliminary Games)
May 15 – 17, 2026 (R16 & Quarterfinals)
May 29 – 31, 2026 (Semifinals & Finals)

Sportsmanship
The MSYSA Junior State Cup is extremely competitive. Please keep in mind that the aspect of sportsmanship is very important during the Junior State Cup competition. Any inappropriate conduct by players, coaches, team officials, and/or parents will not be tolerated. Coaches, parents, and players should not approach referees after a game with questions or concerns. Please address any questions or concerns with MSYSA directly.
