MSYSA is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2026/27 ODP season. Open to players born between 2010-2016, ODP provides athletes from across Michigan with the opportunity to participate in one of the nation’s most respected player identification and development programs.
Designed to challenge and develop players in a high-level training environment, ODP serves as a pathway for athletes seeking opportunities at the state, regional, and national level while continuing to compete with their club teams. Through advanced training sessions, elite competition, and exposure to experienced coaches and evaluators, players are given the opportunity to further develop their skills and reach their full potential.
Registration for the upcoming season opened on March 1 with early-bird pricing available during the initial registration period. The final day to register for the July tryouts is July 15. Players who register after July 15 will automatically be placed into the November make-up tryout and will be subject to the late registration fee of $210.
Tryouts for the 2026/27 ODP cycle will take place July 24-26, 2026, at Independence Park in Canton. During the three-day event, players will participate in multiple evaluation sessions conducted by experienced ODP coaching staff. Athletes are encouraged to attend all assigned sessions to ensure evaluators have the best opportunity to assess their performance, technical ability, and potential.
For players who are unable to attend their scheduled tryout sessions, alternate session placements may be available on a limited basis and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
One of the unique advantages of ODP is its flexibility. Participation in the program does not prevent athletes from competing in other US Soccer-affiliated programs, allowing players to pursue multiple development opportunities throughout the year. ODP continues to provide a valuable platform for ambitious players looking to test themselves against some of the top talent in Michigan and beyond.
MSYSA would also like to remind families that ODP will continue to operate using calendar-year age groups and will not be transitioning to the new school-year registration model.
Players and families interested in learning more about the program, tryout details, and registration information are encouraged to visit the ODP page on the MSYSA website and begin their journey toward the next level of development! To register and learn more, click here!
