ATHLETIC SC GEO U16G PREMIER VS ACGR COAST G2011/10 BLACK
ACGR Coast G2011/10 Black claimed the 2026 U16 Girls Premier State Cup championship with a 4-1 victory over Athletic SC GEO U16G Premier at Legacy Sports Center in Brighton. A strong first-half performance gave ACGR an early advantage, and the team continued to respond to Athletic’s attacking efforts in the second half to secure the title and earn a spot at the Presidents Cup.
ACGR opened the scoring in the seventh minute after winning possession defensively and building an attack through the field. A ball played out wide created space for a forward to unleash a powerful long-range strike into the far upper corner, giving ACGR an early 1-0 lead. The team doubled its advantage in the 12th minute when an Athletic SC defender’s heavy touch allowed an ACGR forward to win possession, dribble through the defense, and finish into the corner of the net.
ACGR continued to apply pressure and added a third goal in the 23rd minute. After switching the ball across the field, a shot was deflected before an ACGR forward followed up on the loose ball to extend the lead to 3-0 heading into halftime.
Athletic SC responded early in the second half, finding the back of the net just four minutes after the restart. A foot race with a defender created an opportunity to play the ball across to an unmarked forward, who calmly finished to cut the deficit to 3-1. ACGR answered just three minutes later, winning a long ball and creating another attacking opportunity that resulted in a composed finish to restore the three-goal advantage at 4-1.
ACGR maintained its lead through the remainder of the match, securing the 4-1 victory and the championship title.
