DCFC GENESEE 08G ROUGE
DCFC Genesee 08G Rouge represented Michigan proudly at the 2026 US Youth Soccer Great Lakes Presidents Cup in Westfield, Indiana, putting together a strong tournament performance against some of the region’s top U18/19 Girls teams.
The team opened the event with a dominant 4-0 victory, showcasing a balanced performance on both sides of the ball. DCFC continued its strong form in the second match, earning a convincing 4-1 win to improve to 2-0-0 and place itself in a strong position heading into the final day of group play.
In a highly competitive third match, DCFC battled hard but fell by a narrow 3-2 scoreline. Despite the setback, the team finished group play with an impressive 2-1-0 record.
Over the course of the tournament, DCFC scored 10 goals while conceding just 4, demonstrating both offensive firepower and defensive organization throughout the weekend. The team consistently challenged opponents, created scoring opportunities, and represented Michigan with pride on the regional stage.
Although DCFC was ultimately unable to advance out of group play, the results should not overshadow what was an outstanding tournament run. Competing at the Great Lakes Presidents Cup is a significant accomplishment, and finishing with two victories and a positive goal differential reflects the quality and determination of the group.
The players, coaches, and supporters have plenty to be proud of. From two impressive opening wins to a competitive finish against strong regional competition, DCFC Genesee 08G Rouge capped off an excellent season by representing Michigan with class, resilience, and a high level of play throughout the tournament.
