ROYAL OAK FC 2013G GREEN
Royal Oak FC 2013G Green delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 US Youth Soccer Great Lakes Presidents Cup in Westfield, Indiana, capturing the U13 Girls Regional Championship and earning a place at the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup National Championships.
The tournament did not begin the way Royal Oak had hoped, as the team dropped its opening match by a 2-0 scoreline. Rather than letting the setback define their weekend, Royal Oak responded with resilience and determination.
In their second group stage match, Royal Oak earned a crucial 2-0 victory to get back into contention. They followed that performance with another 2-0 win in their final group stage game, finishing with a 2-1-0 record. The team scored four goals while conceding just two throughout group play, and their strong defensive performances helped them finish atop their bracket and secure a spot in the championship match.
The final proved to be another tightly contested battle between two deserving teams. After neither side could find a winner during regulation, the championship was decided from the penalty spot. Royal Oak rose to the occasion, converting its opportunities while receiving a stellar performance from its goalkeeper and defense. The team claimed the shootout by a 3-0 margin to secure the regional title.
With the victory, Royal Oak FC 2013G Green was crowned the 2026 US Youth Soccer Great Lakes Presidents Cup U13 Girls Champion. The regional championship earns Royal Oak a berth at the US Youth Soccer National Championships in Wichita, Kansas, July 7-11, where they will represent Michigan and the Great Lakes region on the national stage.
