MICHIGAN RANGERS 09G ELITE
Michigan Rangers 09G Elite capped off an outstanding run at the 2026 USYS National Championships after advancing out of group play with a 2-1-0 record to earn a place in the quarterfinals.
The Rangers faced Ohio in a tightly contested quarterfinal match, with both teams delivering strong defensive performances throughout regulation. After 90 minutes of play, the score remained locked at 0-0, sending the match to a penalty shootout to determine who would advance to the semifinals.
Despite a determined effort, Michigan Rangers fell 5-3 in the penalty shootout, bringing their impressive national tournament run to a close. The narrow defeat came after an evenly matched contest that showcased the team’s resilience and competitive spirit on one of youth soccer’s biggest stages.
Reaching the quarterfinals of the USYS National Championships is a tremendous accomplishment and reflects the hard work, talent, and dedication of the players, coaches, and supporters throughout the season.
