NATIONALS UNION 10G ACADEMY
Nationals Union 10G Academy completed a remarkable journey at the 2026 USYS National Championships, capturing the U16 Girls Super Group National Championship with a thrilling 2-1 victory over the South Texas representative in the title match.
After advancing to the championship game with a 2-0 semifinal victory over the Southern California representative, Nationals entered the final with confidence and momentum. Facing one of the nation’s top teams, the Michigan side rose to the occasion, earning a hard-fought 2-1 victory to claim the national title.
The championship capped an unforgettable tournament for Nationals. After qualifying for Nationals by winning the Fall 2025 Michigan State Cup, the team posted a perfect 3-0-0 record in group play before defeating the Utah rep in a dramatic quarterfinal that ended in a 4-3 penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw. Nationals Union then shut out Southern California 2-0 in the semifinals before finishing its incredible run with the championship victory over South Texas.
Winning the USYS U16 Girls Super Group National Championship is an extraordinary accomplishment and reflects the talent, resilience, and dedication of the players, coaches, and supporters throughout the season.
