ACGR ACADEMY 13G ELITE VS MICHIGAN JAGUARS 2014 GIRLS
ACGR Academy claimed the 2026 MSYSA State Cup U13 Girls Elite Championship with a 2-0 victory over Michigan Jaguars 2014 Girls in a hard-fought final.
The breakthrough came midway through the first half when ACGR capitalized on a well-executed attacking sequence. Following a goal kick, an ACGR winger carried the ball down the flank and delivered a dangerous cross into the penalty area. The service found a teammate, who finished first-time to give ACGR a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute.
Michigan Jaguars continued to press for an equalizer, but ACGR’s defense remained organized and disciplined throughout the match. The back line and goalkeeper combined to keep the Jaguars off the scoreboard, preserving the one-goal advantage heading into halftime.
ACGR added an insurance goal in the 60th minute. A perfectly weighted ball was played down the line, catching the Jaguars goalkeeper outside of her box. The opportunity allowed ACGR to calmly play the ball into the open net, extending the lead to 2-0.
Despite continued efforts from the Jaguars, ACGR’s defense stood firm for the remainder of the match, securing the shutout and the State Cup title.
With the 2-0 victory, ACGR Academy was crowned the 2026 MSYSA State Cup U13 Girls Elite Champion. The team will now represent Michigan at the US Youth Soccer National Championships in Tennessee this July as they look to compete against the nation’s top teams.
