U16 Girls Elite Fall State Cup 2024 Final

U16 Girls Elite Fall State Cup 2024 Final

MICHIGAN RANGERS FC U16G Elite 64 VS CAP CITY 2009 GIRLS GREY

The final kicked off with both Michigan Rangers FC U16G Elite 64 and Cap City 2009 Girls Grey exhibiting crisp, composed play at midfield, setting a high standard for technical brilliance and team shape. Rangers’ aggressive pressing unsettled Cap City early, while Cap City relied on structured possession and flashes of edge play. The early stages were balanced, featuring disciplined defensive setups that allowed few clear scoring chances.

Midway through the first half, Michigan Rangers broke the deadlock with a swift combination through the center that opened Cap City’s backline. A well-timed through ball sent a forward bursting in behind the defenders, and a composed finish inside the box put Rangers ahead 1-0. Cap City responded by ramping up their physicality and stretching play wide, earning dangerous entries into the box, but couldn’t convert before halftime under sustained pressure.

In the second half, Michigan Rangers continued to deliver controlled possession and pressed with aggression whenever they lost the ball. Their efforts were rewarded with a second goal from a quick counterattack: a pinpoint long ball released a winger, who slotted home with composure. Cap City pushed frantically in the final minutes, creating a handful of chances, but Rangers’ disciplined defending and centralized compactness thwarted the comeback. The 2-0 victory solidified Michigan Rangers as the new U16 Girls Elite Champions – a testament to their tactical discipline, clinical finishing, and unwavering intensity.
