NATIONALS UNION 10 GIRLS VS PASS FC 2010G NAVY
In an action-packed U16 Elite Division final at the MSYSA Fall State Cup, Nationals Union GA 10 Girls edged out PASS FC 2010G Navy in a thrilling 3-2 victory. PASS FC struck first in the fifth minute with a perfectly placed free kick that found the back of the net, setting the tone for a fiercely competitive match. Nationals Union wasted no time responding, equalizing just four minutes later with a quick attacking play that ended in a low, left-footed finish to even the score at 1-1.
Coming out of halftime, Nationals Union capitalized on a fortunate bounce from a free kick in the 41st minute to take its first lead of the game. PASS FC battled back with intensity, leveling the match once again just ten minutes later after a powerful free kick was volleyed through traffic into the goal. In the 71st minute, PASS nearly pulled ahead on a corner kick that left a player unmarked in front of goal, but the Nationals keeper made a spectacular save to keep the score tied and momentum alive.
That save proved pivotal, as Nationals Union sealed the victory in the 76th minute with a beautifully timed through ball that was calmly slotted past the charging goalkeeper. The win capped off an impressive display of grit, composure, and teamwork from both sides. Congratulations to Nationals Union GA 10 Girls on their 4th consecutive State Cup title – and best of luck as they represent Michigan at the 2026 US Youth Soccer National Championships in Tennessee next July!
