USYS National Championship Recap

MICHIGAN TIGERS ELITE 64 08G

Michigan Tigers Elite 64 08G represented Michigan with pride at the 2025 USYS National Championships in Orlando, Florida, competing in the U17 Girls Division. The Tigers earned their place at nationals through the National League and quickly proved themselves as one of the strongest teams in the country.

In group play, they were dominant, finishing with a perfect 3-0-0 record. The Tigers scored 10 goals and, remarkably, did not concede a single one. Their strong performance advanced them to the knockout rounds, where they were set for a familiar and highly anticipated matchup against Michigan rival Plymouth Reign 08 NLC. Having lost to Reign earlier this year in both the State Cup finals and Regionals, the Tigers came into the match determined to flip the script. In a thrilling battle, they came out on top with a hard-fought 2-1 victory.

With momentum on their side, the Tigers carried their confidence into the national final against Ambassadors FC. Rising to the occasion, they put on a commanding performance, earning a 3-0 win to secure the national championship title. Michigan Tigers Elite 64 08G’s journey in Orlando was one of resilience, redemption, and excellence, cementing their place at the very top of youth soccer in the U17 Girls Division.
