DCFC Downriver 07/08B Elite completed an unforgettable postseason by capturing the 2026 USYS National Presidents Cup Championship in Wichita, Kansas, proudly representing Michigan and the Great Lakes Region on the national stage.
DCFC Downriver opened group play with an impressive 4-1 victory over the Southern California representative, showcasing the attacking quality that would carry the team throughout the tournament. They followed with another complete performance, defeating New Jersey 2-0 to remain unbeaten and firmly in control of their group.
In the final group stage match, DCFC battled Iowa to a hard-fought 2-2 draw, finishing group play with a 2-0-1 record. DCFC scored eight goals while conceding just three, earning the top spot in its bracket and advancing to the national semifinals.
The momentum continued in the semifinal round, where DCFC faced Iowa once again. This time, DCFC put together another outstanding offensive performance, earning a convincing 5-2 victory to book a place in the national championship match. To watch this game, click here!
