MSYSA Programs

Director’s Academy

The Director’s Academy (DA) is a statewide program of the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association.  Entry to the DA is only for clubs who meet the requirements set forth in the DA application.  Directed at the U11 and U12 age groups, the program focuses on club, team, and player development through coaching education. With this focus in mind, DA clubs and coaches are held to a higher-than-average standard.

MSPSP

Michigan’s competitive youth statewide soccer league representing over 85 clubs and 12,000 players aged U13-U19 annually.

Great Lakes Premier League

The Great Lakes Premier League (GLPL) will be MSPSP’s ‘elite’ league/division and will replace Premier 1’s role as MSPSP’s highest division. GLPL will serve as a qualifying league to the USYS National League.

National League Conferences

There are 13 conferences that make up the National League Conferences and each provides the primary league competition for teams. Conferences operate team-based and club-based leagues, with formats and structures varying from conference to conference. The top tier divisions in each Conference provide teams with a pathway to the Conference Playoffs and the USYS Regional Championships.

National Academy League

The National Academy League (NAL) is a development platform comprised of Academy Clubs’ U13-U19 teams, including MLS NEXT clubs. NAL’s primary goal is bringing together top clubs to showcase their play and increase player exposure for recruitment into the college and professional game.

Soccer For Success

Soccer for Success is designed to introduce the sport of soccer to youngsters living in communities not yet served by existing clubs and leagues. Focused on making soccer available to lower-income children in underserved communities, Soccer for Success provides soccer training and administrative guidance to players and organizations who might otherwise not be exposed to the sport.

TopSoccer

US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability. Our goal is to enable the thousands of young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the US Youth Soccer family.
